Business on a Budget works on websites and the systems behind them. Sometimes that means designing a focused website with a few strong pages. Sometimes it means building an online store with hundreds of products, connecting a supplier feed or creating a web-based tool that does not exist off the shelf.
The name reflects our approach to scope. We would rather spend money on features that make a difference than add complexity because it looks impressive in a proposal.
What we care about
Clear requirements
We want to know what a visitor, customer or staff member must be able to do. A working booking journey or a reliable product update is a more useful goal than a list of fashionable technologies.
Design that helps people
Good design makes the next action obvious. We pay attention to readability, navigation, mobile layouts, forms and the small details that make a website easy to use.
Systems that can be maintained
Websites need updates. Integrations need monitoring. People change jobs. We consider access, documentation, error handling and ownership when deciding how to develop a solution.
Straightforward communication
We explain choices in business terms. If a simpler tool is enough, that belongs in the conversation. If a custom build is warranted, we explain what it would need to do and what makes it more involved.
