Google has several tools that help businesses understand how their websites appear in search and what visitors do once they arrive. They serve different purposes and are most useful when configured properly.

Business on a Budget can assist with the website-related setup and interpretation needed to get useful information rather than a collection of dashboards nobody checks.

Google Search Console

Search Console shows which search queries led to impressions and clicks, how pages are indexed and whether Google reports problems that need attention. It is particularly useful for deciding which existing pages deserve improvement before creating more content.

Website analytics

Analytics should measure meaningful actions such as form submissions or completed purchases where consent, configuration and the site's setup permit. A visitor count is not the same as a qualified lead.

Google Business Profile

For eligible businesses, a properly maintained profile helps communicate real business information. Address and service-area settings must represent the business accurately. A profile should not claim fake locations or locations where the business does not operate.

Indexing and website structure

We can also examine whether important pages are crawlable, linked and included in suitable sitemaps. A sitemap is a discovery aid, not an instruction that guarantees indexing or rankings.
