Sometimes the content is useful and the service is relevant, but the website makes it difficult for search engines to find or understand the right page. Other times, a redesign has left broken URLs or several versions of the same content.

Technical SEO focuses on the site's underlying signals and accessibility. We use it to find problems that could affect search visibility and user experience.

What we investigate

  • Indexability: whether important pages can be crawled and indexed, and whether unintended noindex tags or robots rules are in the way.
  • Canonical URLs: whether duplicate variants point consistently to the intended page. Canonicals are signals, not a substitute for fixing unnecessary duplicates.
  • Redirects: whether old URLs lead to suitable replacements rather than broken pages or unrelated destinations.
  • Site structure: whether important products, services and guides are discoverable through normal internal links.
  • Structured data: whether appropriate, accurate markup helps describe the business, services, articles or products, without claiming features or reviews that do not exist.
  • Performance: how the site behaves on actual devices, including the effect of oversized images, scripts, plugins and hosting constraints.
  • Ecommerce complexity: filtering, product variations and sorting can create many URLs. Those patterns need deliberate treatment so useful pages remain accessible without flooding the index with duplicates.

A technical audit should lead to decisions

A long list of warnings is not useful unless the findings are prioritised. We distinguish issues that block access to valuable pages, problems that affect important user journeys and lower-impact clean-up work.

We also check the site's current search performance before major URL or content changes. A page with existing impressions should not be removed without understanding what it ranks for.

Technical SEO is not the entire SEO strategy

Fixing a sitemap does not create demand for an irrelevant service page. Strong rankings still need useful content, appropriate expertise and a business worth choosing. See our SEO services for the broader approach.
